cost to replace motor mounts?

Motor mounts need to be replaced in my 2000 Toyota Echo. I've gotten two widely different estimates from two mechanics, and now am suspicious of both. What should something like this cost, ballpark? I'm in central Texas. Thanks!

Try these on-line resources for the replacement parts: www.autopartswarehouse.com, www.partsgeek.com, www.rockauto.com, www.partstrain.com - to list a few.

For example, they (RockAuto) list the replacement engine mounts from around $17.00 each for your vehicle.

Rear mount = ANCHOR part #8968 - or it's equivalent
Front mount = ANCHOR part #9015 - or it's equivalent

Expect in the 3-400 range. The one in the back is a bear because of the bolt length. The one shop may have remembered that.

The front or right mount is 22.99 to 32.99
The rear is 18.81 to 30.79
Trans $13.00

Look at Rock Auto Web Site

I see no reason you would pay someone,
when you or a relative can replace them

For $75.00 & shipping-- why would you spend
a couple hundred-- plus 20% mark up on parts ?
