1995 Pontiac Grand Prix SE 6 Cyl 3.1L

Preventive Maintenance

the check engine light come on after the car warms up and is driven on the interstate

the light only comes on when you have reached speeds over 45 mph but only after you take your foot completelyoff the throttle. the amount of fuel in the car seems to affect the frequency that the light comes on because the more gas in the tank the less lightly the check engine light will come on, performance wise the car runs great. even though the odomometer shows 295000 miles, the engine and transmission has lee than 12000 miles on them as well as the fuel pump because i replaced these items

Have the check engine light (CEL) scanned - for free - at any local auto parts store; Advance Auto, Auto Zone, NAPA. Then, post a reply with the specific fault code for more assistance.
