My "Check Airbag System" Light Repeatedly Goes On and Off

There is a light that repeatedly turns on in my car that says "CHECK AIRBAG SYSTEM". I took it to Honda and once they took it in, the light went out. So they were unable to scan and see what the problem was and advised that once it comes on solid and doesn't turn off, then take it in. Well it was on solid for an entire weekend, so I made an appointment with Honda for that following Tuesday and of course, the light went out. I cancelled my appointment because the light went off and I knew there was no point. For the next 2 days, the light never came on. Now, it goes off and on repeatedly. It'll stay on solid for a few days and then it'll go out again. I would take it into Honda again, but I don't want to keep losing money by having them check it out and then repeatedly find out nothing's wrong with it. Is it something to be worried about? Is there something actually wrong with my airbag? Would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks!

The airbag warning light (SRS) may illuminate due to a defective or faulty occupant position sensor, or the drivers belt buckle switch . Honda has a recall campaign to replace defective sensors on affected cars.

Honda has issued a recall on the OPDS (Occupant Presence Detection Sensor) that could be the cause. If that is the cause and the car is involved in the recall, then the part will be replaced at no charge. Check with different dealerships.
