Car won't start. No noise when I press start button.

Last Thursday, key fob wasn't working so I thought it was a battery issue. However, the past three days, when I try to use the key fob, & it's not working, I can also not turn on the car on the 1st...10th try & there is no noise. So far, it has finally turned on after repeatedly pressing the start button for 5-10 minutes. I got a new battery yesterday and this morning the key fob didn't work and the car wasn't turning on again.

First question: what is the light on your push button start system? This should usually be green, but you might also see it lit up in red or yellow.

RED: Indicates that the key cannot be detected, which is common if you place the key in your cup holder.

YELLOW: Indicates there may be a problem with the engine starting system, but can also indicate the inability to activate the accessories or switch the ignition.

Have you pressed the key fob against /into the start button? This bypasses the battery in the fob.

Do your brake lights work?

Failing this, it will require a diagnostic scan.
