Engine

My car wont start. It cranks. But the ignition is weak and it doesn't run

My cars having problems with the Ignition. The car will crank over but it won't start. Every once in a while it will actually start and it will drive for a couple of days. But then the problem starts up all over again were it takes forever for it to start. Sometimes it won't even start for days. All it does is crank over. Every once in a while there is in Ignition in the cylinder but it doesn't actually start the car. I've taken this to mechanic many times and every time he gets the car it starts right up for him so he can't actually find the issue because the check engine light isn't on for him.

Begin with the battery and cables - test for proper voltage and current. Be sure the cable connections and terminal connections (at both ends) are free of corrosion. Should be clean and tight.

Next, test the ignition coil for 12VDC supply, and then test the ignition coil output. Next, check the secondary ignition (high voltage) at each spark plug, at each cylinder.

What were the findings and results? For example, what did the secondary ignition voltage measure at the coil output and at each spark pug?
