Car struggles to start the day after a new battery

Hi Guys,
Car wouldn't start, seemed like the battery was the problem. Took the old battery out, there was a lot of corrosion/acid build up that I cleaned up as well. Got a new battery last night, put it in and started straight away with no problems. Got up this morning and it struggled to start, took about 3 seconds of turning over then started poorly. Low coolant temperature light was on, left the car idle and it eventually went away but the car was still running poorly. The car is auto, i shifted it from park to neutral and gave it a rev, after that it stalled.
Need help working out what could be the problem.
