The car made no previous noise or sounds. The tranny fluid is all over the ground and the vehicle will not shift at all.

try to isolate the transmission leak. could be a hose if this had a tranni cooler. you will have to find the leak before being able to determine if there is an internal transmission problem. Don't drive it or attempt to with no transmission fluid!

Check where the cooling hoses attatch to the radiator. It's a tight area, and prone to leaks.Massive leaks are easy to find.Clean the mess you have now, including all around the transmission especially.Add some fluid(like a half quart)and look under car to see if it just comes right out.If it doesn't,start it up and look for the leak.A helper(second set of eyes)could find it quicker. After you see where it is coming from,go to the fix.Don't overfill and don't drive with no fluid!!The tranny shop would kiss you if you do!Good luck
