1998 Dodge Neon High Line 4 Cyl 2.0L


My car over heated to the point of shutting off completely

My radiator blew I was not aware had two wholes in it I add antifreeze car was still hot tried to make it home car was so hot it shut off . we replaced radiator and battery car will try to start but does not start my husband checked plugs says they are not firing we are going to try new plugs tonight is there something we are missing? He said the ingine is free not seized up .

try the coils if not that try the computer or it could of blew the head gasket check the oil if it is milky you blew the head gasket or it might be a timing belt and water pump combo

Sounds like a head gasket based upon the fact that it was overheating badly and shut off. Now with the engine cool it does not start usually points to head gasket / low compression from bad gasket in between cylinders.
