My car died while driving.

Jumpstarting didn't help. Then checked fuses they were good. Then che led battery cables and notices a bare wire touching metal. It won't kick over. What do I do? Help please!!! If I can fix it I will. Don't have the money to pay someone. I can do some things with cars.

First question - which cable or wire was touching bare metal? Was it one of the battery cables? If yes, which one?

There are too many possibilities to provide - given the lack of detail. First step would be to start with the battery - make sure the cable connections are claen and tight, with no corrosion.
