Why does my car die shortly after its started?

It always starts when it's cold but dies when it's warm. This occurs all the time.

How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? Does it restart quickly? Does it die at idle or going down the road?

Not sure on the tune up. We just bought it and it ran fine all the way home about a hundred miles, until I shut it off then wouldnt restart until it cooled down. Took it to a mechanic and it had a code but they replaced the o2 sensor and it went away. Now it dies at idle but will restart and stay running if I keep it reved up. Only won't restart if it's warmed up. Mechanic told me he didn't know what was wrong with it so I took a stab at the fuel pump but that wasn't it either.
