1988 Chevrolet K3500 Silverado 8 Cyl 5.7L


My Car backfired one day and it wasnt normal, now it wont start. any help???

My car has been converted to gas and one it backfired on the way home, the worrying thing is that when it backfired it made this hissing sound after it and then just died. we had puut 100litres of gas in it but got told that the gas wasnt the problem, any suggestions? im not 100% the car is a 5.7L, i do know it is a big block

Check any detached vacuum hoses connected to the air intake manifold, look also for any crack hoses then replace. Replace PCV valve then get back to us, give more details of the condition of the engine, how the engine died, does it has hesitation before, has difficulty in starting, rough engine previously?
