2001 Buick LeSabre Custom 6 Cyl 3.80L

Brakes

Brakes not working after brake lines were replaced.... Brake light is off inside car after replacement and fluid added..

Brakes went out and found out the brake lines were rusted and leaking. Had brake lines replaced on both sides, added fluid light went off in car but brakes are still going all the way to floor. When we tried to bleed the brakes it doesn't seem to be working. What else could be causing this?

We're the brakes bled in the proper order; beginning with the wheel position furthest from the brake master cylinder resevoir?

When bleeding the master can not go empty at all. Look online as to how to bleed the master when it is on the car. Requires line cracking.

Also involving ABS systems, these pumps have very small passageways that sometimes you need a bidirectional scanner to activate the solenoids to get rid of air. I take it all the fluid ran out? Do like the others have said but also get these solenoids moving to get air going dow to the wheels. Then re-bleed furthest wheel to the closest of the master cylinder. If you have some pedal you can take car to an open area and step on car on loose gravel or hard dirt to get these solenoids to activate. Then bleed again. I had this issue and it took a lot of bleeding.
