1996 BMW Z3 Roadster 4 Cyl 1.9L

brake and rotor replacement

I am going to do a brake job on my BMW z3 1996.
I will replace rotors and pads. Do I need any other hard ware or parts? Is it necessary to put rubber seals on the calipers. I have no issues at the moment there.
Do I need a ratcheting tool to push the piston of the caliper in? If so where can I get one. Please any other suggestions would be helpful. I have changed brakes long time ago, Oh and how about torque tight and bolts. I have in the past just tighten until I could no more. Parts advice also helpful.
Again thank you.

Try the many on-line auto parts sources, such as; www.RockAuto.com or www.autopartswarehouse.com for the replacement parts. For example, they (RockAuto) list the front brake pads for around $7.00 per axle set (left and right), and the front brake rotor for around $17.00 each for your vehicle. If the brake rotors are replaced, don't forget to install new seals - these are around $4.00 each.

Try the 'How-To-Guides' feature on the AutoMD website for the specific steps to replace the brakes on your vehicle.
