1994 Honda Accord LX 4 Cyl 2.2L

Need to know if I have blown a head gasket, but need to know what caused the original problem.

my car started idling funny (RPMS revvingto about 3000 then dropping back down). Had to get to work so drove it anyway. Overheated after about 12 miles hasd to drive it another 3 . Forgot to check oil and it was low so added 1 quart and added coolant. Drove another 7 mile and it red-lined after 4. Had to get it home and needed to add another 4 quarts oil. Overheated after 3 but drove the rest of the way home about 3 miles in the red. started smoking as soon as I got home.

The overheating and leaking head gasket condition may have been caused by one or more conditions; low engine oil, low coolant (or incorrect mixture), poor coolant circulation due to clogged radiator passages, poor coolant circulation due to worn / faulty water pump.
