Preventive Maintenance

Advice on what's wrong with my vehicle

I have a 1997 Dodge Intrepid V6 3.3L vehicle starts every time (small delay) I have owned the vehicle for about 2 months now it seems every time I shut the vehicle off and don't use it for a lengthy amount of time when I start it up the next time my fuel gauge reads that I've lost about an eighth of a tank of gas however when you look under the vehicle or under the hood there are no signs of leakage or dripping anywhere on the vehicle or on the ground around it but you do smell fuel didn't start realizing it until about a few weeks ago asked everyone I know who is handy with cars on what it could be none of them have a definitive answer trying to pinpoint what it is or what the likely issue is before I bring it to a garage and they charge me a ridiculous amount of money for parts I don't necessarily need

All your telling us, is that your asking people with no vehicle experience
& those with some knowledge, to guess at your vehicles problems

You, like the entire world hate repair shops, thus say your going to spend
too much & the shops knowingly install parts not needed

Well the only way to resolve any products problem, is to have a
knowledgeable person do the required testing, to first find a problem

Only then will you be given something close to the cost of the solution

Your in charge of the vehicles destiny & your money, both are your choice
to make, pay to find a problem & fix it or not

No one can guess as your friends have explained to you
