What the P0875 code means?
The fluid pressure sensor provides the PCM with the data necessary to monitor the transmission
performance. If the fluid pressure increases, the voltage reading from the pressure sensor will increase; if
the pressure decreases, the voltage decreases.
What causes the P0875 code?
Common causes include a low transmission fluid condition (caused by a transmission fluid leak), a
defective transmission high pressure pump, a faulty or slipping transmission, a faulty transmission
temperature sensor, overheating engine, or faulty PCM
What are the symptoms of the P0875 code?
Increased fuel consumption
Transmission may not shift properly
Common mistakes when diagnosing the P0875 code:
Misdiagnosis may range from one extreme to the other. Often, when this code is stored, a problem is
incorrectly diagnosed as only a transmission fluid leak when a low fluid condition has allowed vital internal
transmission components to be damaged. On the other end, the transmission does not necessarily need to
be rebuilt just because it has overheated once.
What repairs can fix the P0875 code?
Refilling the transmission fluid, or flushing the system and refilling
Replacing a defective transmission high pressure pump
Replacing a faulty temperature sensor
Repairing mechanic internal transmission failures.
