In order to start, the engine needs spark, fuel, compression, and significant cranking speed. Tightening the cable should not have an affect other than fixing a "No crank" problem. You will need to check for fuel and spark first. Sometimes it is as simple as "out of gas". Maybe the fuel pump fuse is blown.

If there is no fuel pressure, check these parts:
- Fusible link
- Fuses (AM2 30A, IGN 7.5A)
- EFI main relay
- Fuel pump (can you hear it come on)
