Engine - by Art Berg 12/9/2010Why is my engine hard to start when it is hot, but it starts easily when cold?
When hot, it seems that the fuel mixture is way too rich so that it has to be cranked a long time with the pedal down (open carburetor) before it fires. Could this be related to a float level too high in the carburetor?

WE JUST REPLACED AN ENGINE IN 98 CHEVY PRIZM AND CANT FIGURE OUT THECORRECT WAY THE HOSES GO, IM GETTING LOTSOF WATER OUT OF THE TAILPIPE. THE VEHICLE STARTS BUT SPITS OUT WATER AND WHITE SMOKE.
