1984 Jaguar XJ6 Base 6 Cyl 4.2L - Engine
My 84 Jag XJ6 runs rough. Could it be something as simple as a vacuum leak, or a fuel filter. I have changed plugs etc.
It seems to be more noticeable when I first start it up.

if rough at idle cold and then get better at hot intake gasket may be your problem the better way to know is with smoke test..

It does not smoke. I have also replaced the distributor cap, and the valve cover gasket, as well plugs and wires.

smoke test mean put smoke in the intake and watch for smoke leak at the intake and the air duct, look at you tube for this video; Finding Engine Vacuum Leaks With A Cigar it's may sound crazy but it's you find a vacuum leak you will be happy to fix your car.
