1982 Chevrolet El Camino Base 6 Cyl 3.80L

Engine

I would like to know if the 1982 el camino is suppose to have 14" or 15" there are two 3.8's how do you tell the dif.

I'm no sure about the wheel sizes but about the engines, the two 3.8 engines are very different from each other. The one 3.0 actually has 229 cubic inches and is a Chevrolet engine and has the distributor at the rear of the engine just like the small block Chevy. The other 3.8 is a Buick engine and the displacement is 231 cubic inches and the distributor is at the front right at an angle. Both had feedback type electronic carburetors.
