How to Replace a Window Motor

Locate the power window fuse and inspect to determine if it is blown.

Using the door panel window switch, roll the window up and down.

Remove the interior door panel.

Check the window lift motor connector.

With the power probe, verify power to the positive side connector pin on the window lift motor.

Remove the glass from the regulator assembly.

Tape glass to door frame.

Remove the window lift motor mounting bolts. Slide the window lift motor mount through the interior access opening of the door.

Install the new window lift motor and tighten the mounting bolts.

Reconnect the window lift motor connector.

Re-install the vapor barrier.

Re-install the door trim panel and handles/switches.

Test the power window for proper operation by rolling the window up and down in complete cycles for proper testing.
