What a bad experience and a waste of money. I had to hire a car for a full day for this guy Sam to tell me that all I had wrong with the car after having it for A WHOLE day was the oil leak and that he TOTALLY checked the car and it was in great shape except for the oil leak and I might as well get my timing belt done whilst he was fixing the leak. I showed him the jerking of my car and he said no problem it could be engine mounts but not to worry as all I will get is vibration. Then whilst fixing it (I had to hire a car for another 2 days) he calls me and says that the engine mounts need replacing very soon. I went to collect my car but was left stranded at his shop as he called me but DID NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE ON MY VOICEMAIL to tell me my car was not going to be ready. I had given back the rental car so he says you better get a friend to come pick you up!! I finally got someone to pick me up at short notice who had to take me to the AIRPORT to hire another car as all the other places were closed. When I go to Vimar to collect my car the engine sounds even worse and it started to stall which it never did before. I had to BUY ANOTHER CAR!!!!!!!!!! I hope nobody goes through what I went through as. He NEVER offered to pay any part towards any of the rentals. Please learn from my experience.

Repair/Service: College student/car repairs
Hourly Rate: $00

Sam has always gone above and beyond in helping our son, a Fla. college student at Full Sail Univ.. Being 10 hours away is a huge concern for us, but Sam has taken great care of him when repairs were necessary, including finding him a perfect car replacement when his car was totaled! What a good guy!

Repair/Service: Fix my old 300 ZX 2 + 2
Hourly Rate: $70.
Total Cost: $75.00
What a terrific experience, Sammy and his team of people are very thorough and well versed on old cars and new cars. I have been taking my cars there since 1997 and each time Sammy has done a great job at a very reasonable price.
To put this in perspective, I was trained as a mechanic, and still have a large tool box in my garage. I can still twist wrenches, and do some of my own basic maintenance, so I know what I am doing and how to diagnose a problem, and how to read a repair invoice.
I have always been treated fairly and with respect. Vimar Auto repair has been fixing all three of my cars, and they do it right the first time. Sammy is trustworthy, smart, and treats his customers like family. He has a lot of loyal customers who appreciate him and his service.
