I send my daughter for an oil change today and it ends up costing her $100.00. Apparantly the mechanic claimed her engine was "full of sludge" and it need to be flushed. This car has had SYNTHETIC oil changes every 3 to 5000 miles and has been meticulously maintained from when it was purchased new. Thanks for selling my daughter something she doesn't need. You won't be seeing another penny of our families money! Stay away unless you don't mind being sold a bill of goods!
Fraud Alert. To make a very long story short, these guys scared me into having a $140 air conditioning service performed on my car by showing me a A/C pressure reading taken while the engine was not running. The reading was way too high (too much pressure), and they claim the extreme pressure was dangerous, and could cause a major failure and expensive repair if they didn't take care of it right away.
After the service, the pressure was the same (with the engine off), and was normal with the engine running. But they wouldn't give me a refund of the $140 because "Valvoline recommends A/C service annually". Total garbage.
I guess I'm a sucker for falling for their scare tactic. At least I did the research to know I was being conned.
