Repair/Service: body repair and paint
Hourly Rate: $75
Total Cost: $2600
I took my 2011 Honda Civic 4dr to Tamaroff Honda for body shop repairs due to a tree branch falling on my car.
When I finally picked up the car, there were numerous globs, drip marks and other unacceptable flaws with the paint job (where are their Quality Control Inspectors?), I pointed them out to Doug and he agreed to fix them. About a week later, they had made some improvements, but the car was beyond filthy. I asked them to clean the car thoroughly and a Porter attempted to do so. When I finally took the car home it seemed OK, not great.
The next day, I sat in the car and noticed a plume of Bondo dust rising from the seat, which required me to spend 2 hours vacuuming the seats and carpets. While vacuuming, I noticed the entire interior was filthy and required detailed cleaning...another 2 hours (Quality Control?).
A week later, I turned on the AC blower for the first time since the repair and a huge cloud of Bondo dust and chards of glass came billowing out. After another two hour cleaning project, the mess was finally clean, however there is still a lot of glass chards rattling around in the duct work, that occasionally spews out on the floor, seats and me!
I stopped by the other day and mentioned to Christine, the problems I was having with the mess and the glass, she just blew me off.
The paint work, which was less than mediocre at best, was bad enough, the lack of quality control and uncaring customer service was the last straw.
I would not recommend Tamaroff Honda to anyone!by sharlavoy on June 4, 2012

Repair/Service: paint
Hourly Rate: $145

I took my car to Tamaroff for some minor body work, which turned out poorly. I returned it and asked that they try to do a better job and specifically to remove scratches they caused.
I asked Doug if he could fix the scratches without causing more scratches and damage. He mumbled something about "it being a black car and that there were other scratches on the car," and said “I didn't say we weren't going to fix it."
I thought for a moment about Tamaroff's inability to do a good job the first time, and how they couldn't fix it the second time, and decided I would just live with the scratches. Doug seemed very happy with himself, and the fact that he wouldn't have to fix my car...a job well done Doug!
An unsatisfied customer who gives up hope is not the same as a job well done!
Tamaroff looks at every problem like a nail, and the only tool in their tool box is a hammer. If that doesn't work, get a bigger hammer.
If you have an old farm tractor and you don't care how it looks when they're done, go to Tamaroff.
