Repair/Service: Lots of stuff
Hourly Rate: $80.
Total Cost: $1500.
I paid 700$ to this shop to install a new A/C compressor, which they did. It worked fine for 2 months, and then just quit. I took it back to them and they said a faulty switch on the compressor was to blame, so I figured okay, just bad luck and paid them an additional 250$ to fix the problem. Two days ago(2 more months later) it stopped working again, so- frustrated- I took my vehicle back to them. They kept it for 2 business days, and finally told me that all the freon had leaked out. The cause was a loose hose, that I was told was "not their fault". However this is the only shop I have taken the vehicle to for any repairs, and the guy said "It must have came that way from the factory......Its a 99 year model, so I find it hard to believe that this took 12 years to notice. In the end they charged me for the freon, which leaked out due to.......a "factory problem" ? If the hose was loose, then why didnt it leak out in the first two months the AC was working? Furthermore, I have referred 4 seperate people to this shop, and they all spent a fair amount of money. I just hope the workmanship their vehicle recieved was better than what I got.
