My vehicle stopped and I coasted from the road into someone's paved driveway, was told at the shop that I had a clogged fuel filter. The mechanic claimed the fuel pump had to be replaced and quoted me $437 for the job, the same job I had recently spent $260 for in Indianapolis on another vehicle. While repairing my truck, the mechanic broke a rear brake line while dropping the tank, and then tried to convince me that it was already broken before they received it. I know it was not broken because I had brakes when the vehicle stopped, and had it been broken, the brake fluid would never have reached the caliper, but would have been on the paved driveway when I applied brakes and it was not. Instead of being honest and just making the simple repair to replace the brake line which he had broken during the repair, a part that cost only 6.99 at Auto Zone, he gouged me $39 for a $7 part and added an hour of labor to my bill. I could have likely replaced the brake line myself in about 10 minutes, a very simple job. When I went to pick up my truck, he tried to charge me $536, almost $100 over the original amount that he had quoted to do the job. These people are crooks in my opinion, very dishonest. I would not never use them again.
