Repair/Service: Timing Belt
Hourly Rate: $75.00
Total Cost: $563.00
I had my Honda in at Ray's Muffler for a timing belt. Work was done promplty & price was really ccompetitive.
I really trust their manager & mechanics, I have reccomended them to several Friends & coworkers and have nothing but positive feed back. I love locally owned shops that are Family operated. You know what they say about a good Doctor & Mechanic, Once you find a good one you never Switch. i now drive over 20 miles to have my car serviced. Good job Rays Muffler.by Karen on November 24, 2010

Repair/Service: Asked them to detect radiator leak
Hourly Rate: $0
Total Cost: $30.000
I will not spend another dime at Ray's. I just asked them to try determine why my radiator was leaking and they called me and said a repair patch on the bottom of the radiator was no good and was leaking from there and the radiator would have to be replaced. They quoted me $550.00 to replace the radiator and I told them I would do it myself a lot cheaper. When I got the car home I inspected the patch they referred to and it was not leaking at all it was a good patch. My daughter had just purchased the car that day so we just decided to have a professional inspect it but that did not go so well. I believe now the previous owner had just overfilled the overflow tank and when the water got hot it had no where else to go but drip out. I'm convinced Ray's thought they had a good chance to take advantage of us but I'm sure glad I did not buy into their scam. I believe most shops I have taken cars to are honest but I found one who is not.
