Repair/Service: oil change
Hourly Rate: $30
Total Cost: $30.00
They damaged my vehicle and told me they would pay for the repairs done elsewhere. I didn't know that they had damaged my car until my regular mechanic showed me proof. The manager keeps giving me excuses why they can't pay. e.g. Corporate office needs to do that. Manager cussed at me over the phone.

Repair/Service: complete brake job, tune-up, new tires
Hourly Rate: $70.00
Total Cost: $2150.00
We took our truck in, bought used, a 2004 Ford, to get it road-ready. We got an estimate for all needs, and they worked with us on the pricing. They even gave us a ride home and called us when it was finished, at which time the manager himself came to pick us up from our home. The customer service in that store has to be the very best we have ever experienced; and the management team, Mr. Riley, and the assistant store manager, Angela, are very cordial and personalized our experience. They really know their field! The technicians are well-trained and knowledgeable. They gave us a free alignment check with our tire purchase. We will now go NOWHERE else, and highly recommend this facility.

Repair/Service: oil change and "clunk" repair
Hourly Rate: $70.00
Total Cost: $432.77
My van had a "clunk" in the right front end. The diagnosis (over the phone) was motor mounts. They replaced all of the motor mounts. As soon as I got in and backed up after the repair, I knew it was not fixed. The clunk was still there. I went back another day and drove the mechanic around so he could hear the clunk. He put it on the rack and looked it over again. He said he didn't know what was wrong. I took it to the dealership who diagnosed right front lower arm bushing bad, right half shaft boots torn, right front strut noisy. They fixed the clunk. I went back again to Purcell's and told them what had been done to fix the clunk. They still insisted the motor mounts were bad. I said I wanted the old motor mounts. I brought them home, and to my husband and me, they looked fine. The manager wanted to know what I wanted to make it right. He said they would put my old motor mounts back in. I said, "You aren't touching my vehicle again." I agreed to keep the motor mounts and they refunded the cost of labor ($161.00) for replacing the motor mounts. I am sure I did not need motor mounts. Save yourself money and go to the dealership who has training to work on vehicles. Purcell's are probably ok for oil changes and tires, but not for mechanics. Watch out for "up-selling". They always try to sell you something more than what you took your vehicle in for.

Repair/Service: tires and oil change
Hourly Rate: $000
Total Cost: $480
I was actually there when that person who calls HERSELF 'NO LONGER A FOOL" was there. i had to make a time for the next day and i heard them tell her her she needed engine mounts and struts and a bushing or something, i'm sorry i don't know all this stuff, but she said she only wanted to do the mounts. I heard this all and that lady is not telling the truth. she drives a white van. anyway, i really like my tires and i like the lady and the man that work in there. they really care about the customers, and that lady that works there smiled and talked to me like i was somebody really important. i think customers should be treated the way Purcell treats people. thank you for my tires because i didn't have to spend as much as i thought. i am on a fixed income and i am thankful that i got a good deal.

Repair/Service: motor mounts
Hourly Rate: $70.00
Total Cost: $432.77
This is "nolongerafool" replying to "so happy" who doesn't know anything about my van repairs. Her comments are totally wrong as I was told I needed new motor mounts over the phone as I stated above. Purcell's didn't know anything about what was really wrong with the van. And when I went back to settle up for the motor mounts I didn't need, they said they had fired the mechanic who worked on my van, not just because of what he didn't know about repairing my van, but about other things too. Maybe I just got the wrong person as a mechanic, but "so happy", you don't know anything about my situation, so butt out.

I know about your situation - I know your van is a White Silhouette. The mechanic did not get fired - you were told he no longer works there, Ma'am. You were not told he got fired. Perhaps you should watch what you post. That technician is ASE certified, and knew what he was doing. He gave notice and got a new position somewhere else. Call the store and ask the girl who answers the phone what happened to Justin. He resigned...period. Moved on to bigger and better things. Those people at that store are nice and they do not take advantage of customers. You should see all the awards on their walls for customer service. You must be a rarity.
