Repair/Service: refused to have service performed

This place is a rip-off. The owner lies to his employees and to his customers. He will inflate prices over 150% or more. I witnessed a single mother bring in her car for an alternator bracket. Dealer list price was 15.88. He marked it up to $35. and wanted to charge her $50 labor for a job that took less than 3 minutes. He charged an elderly man who had just gotten out of the hospital 3.99 for a automotive fuse that maybe cost $.15 and tried to charge him $42.50 for diagnostic to find the blown fuse. If you are from India, you may catch a break. If you are white, black, a student, young adult, or a woman, he will rip you off. I worked there for 5 days and witnessed this kind of practice daily. Stay away from this business!!

Repair/Service: Changed starter

Hourly Rate: $85

Total Cost: $365

I had my starter changed. Pro active automotive on brown trail wanted to charge 478. And this place did it for 365. And the manager was so nice. He kept me updating on the progress of my car. He even called me 2 days later to see everything was upto my satisfaction. All I want to say about this place is, thank you for taking care of this old women in a fixed income.
