  • Repair/Service: engine replaced

    Hourly Rate: $unknown

    Total Cost: $unknown

We had to have our engine replaced due to a bad crankshaft bearing. The extended warranty that we purchased with the car said that it was bumper to bumper protection. We did not purchase the warranty from the dealer, but an aftermarket insurer. The insurer did not want to pay for the repairs or replacement. We were told that the problem was caused by us. The manager of the repair shop really went to bat for us. We , personally, could get nowhere with the insurer. He took the bull by the horns and insisted to the insurer that it was not our fault. Well, after many sessions arguing with our insurer, the shop manager spent hours arguing with them, we ended up paying only a total of $97 for our nearly $5,000 repair. Thank you! to our Midway Chevrolet and Cadillac dealer!
