There's a reason this Meineke doesn't have their prices listed anywhere. The owner is incompitent and doesn't know anything about cars. My check engine light came on and it does occasionally because the previous owner bought a custom gas cap that leaks a little bit of gas. I took it in just to make sure it's the same thing and not something bigger, and he charged me $75 to run a diagnostic. What the hell?! I can go to PepBoys and do a diagnostic myself, but Meineke was closer. They overcharge for stupid things and don't know anything about good customer service.
Every positive review you can find online has (not surprisingly) been posted in the past couple months, which means the owners of Meineke are getting their family and friends to write fake positive reviews. I took my car to get a simple oil change about a week ago. I drive a 2007 Civic. I dropped it off in the morning, he quoted me the $35 or whatever it is to change oil, and I knew it would be a little extra to do synthetic. Lo and behold, I come back at 5pm and he tries to charge me $80 for the job. EIGHTY DOLLARS for an oil change? This has to be a joke. I decided to check it out in the parking lot before I left, and it was almost 2 full quarts under where it should have been AND my oil dipstick was missing. I confronted him and he said it was missing when I got there. I know my car and I know what is missing, since the reason I got the oil change was because i JUST checked it. He never did give it back to me, and I had to go buy one for $30 at the dealership. Never go here. The old mexican guy who owns it is dishonest and rude, and apparently he steals dipsticks (and who knows what else) and tries to overcharge customers. OH, and he also charged me $105 for a DIAGNOSTIC. what a joke. They shouldn't be in business.
I woudln't recommend this Meineke to ANYONE for ANYTHING. The staff is rude, dishonest, unprofessional and aggressive. Their main mechanic, an older hispanic man, was very rude and abrupt. He was furious when I asked him to write down the codes that came up when he ran the diagnostic. I was paying a ridiculous $105 for the diagnostic, so I had him write down the codes. He basically told me my car needed a whole new engine, and he tried to take advantage of me in every way possible. He's rude, disrespectful, and very unprofessional. He also doesn't know much about cars and I doubt he's ASE certified, considering he was a maintenance worker for an apartment complex in town less than a year ago, a fact he told me himself. I woudln't go there for anything at all, and I didn't trust him with my car. I ended up fixing it enough to be driveable and left with it after it had been there for 5 days.
