Kenny has worked on all of our vehicles, cars, trucks & boats. He is a VERY small shop, so when we take anything to him, we aren't execting it back the same day. The work is always done quickly and affordably. We've never had any problems and I was shocked after reading a few of these comments. He always seems very busy and more interested in getting back to work, then standing around shooting the breeze. He doesn't have office staff, so if you call, you get him or one of only a couple of guys working for him. He's a good guy and and does good work.

I wouldn't be surprised if the above comment was written by Ken himself. I usually don't review, but am now compelled to after seeing this "positive" review and this person calling the initial reviewer a "troll". I visited this site before going to Ken's and concluded that one person's bad experience is not necessarily going to be mine...but boy was I wrong. It was apparent from first meeting Ken, that he has a few screws loose and at least several complexes at that,and will tell you any lie just to get you to leave your car with him...and will then proceed to do whatever he likes and tell you for days that he can't tell you anything over the phone. He is single handedly the most unprofessional individual i have ever dealt with. It is never a good sign when, before even looking at your car, the mechanic immediately bashes (at length) what others have done to your car...and it's also suspect when he's got multiple enormous guard dogs at his garage. This guy lost his temper as soon as he was (rightfully) questioned and I wouldn't recommend going there, especially not alone.

Ken has taken care of my cars and some of my families for many years. He's always been honest and upfront and very good at customer service. He's honored warranty for me and once because one of his techs made a mistake he fixed the issue without charging and had enough integrity to be up front with me about it. I do not remember the last hourly rate so the above is a guess. Its too bad he has a troll on this thread trying to bring his rating down, the statements aren't true. I am a real customer.

KEN HAS BEEN OFFICALLY CENSURED BY THE CCA AND A NEGATIVE DESIGNATION HAS BEEN FILED IN A PERMANENT CCA RECORDS, DUE TO THE ORGANIZATION'S UNWILLINGNESS TO ACCOMMODATE AN ADEQUATES RESOLUTION,IT IS OUR FINDING THAT THE ORGANIZATION HAS NOT OPERATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH AN ACCEPTABLE LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY.

I HAVE A 1998 FORD ESCORT WITH A 2.0 ENGINE THE CAR ENGINE WAS RACING AND I HAD MY NEIGHBOR LOOKED AT IT AND HE SAID THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON SO HE SAID TO TAKE IT TO ADVANCE AUTO PARTS SO THEY CAN SCAN MY CAR.SO THEY DID AND THE KID TOLD ME THAT IT NEEDED O2 SENSORS AND SHOULD FIX MY CAR SO I WENT AHEAD AND BOUGHT THE THEY WERE VERY PRICEY SO I TOOK THE TO KENS TO PUT THEM IN KEN LOOK AT ME AND SAID ALL YOU NEED WAS A RUBBER GROMMET I HAD A BAD VACUM LEAK IT FIX THE PROBLEM MY CAR RUNS GREAT TAKE YOUR CAR TO A SHOP NOT ADVANCE AUTO PARTS THEY ARE NOT MECHANICS SAVED ME 200.00 THANKS KEN

cont. from first review ken called my employer told them about the first review. told them that if i was still at store, he would not buy partd from them. i was told i would be transfer to other store. i tryed to get my money back from ken, he would not return my money or phone calls. i tryed to get help to keep me in the store, they fired me. thanks ken the place were i got my truck fixed, sais the piece was put in wrong, and broke the pump and burned the tranny, it cost me 600.00 and my job. thanks ken.

he rebuild my tranny about 6-8 months ago, for $650.00 and wanted it in cash, it broke down, i called him ,thinking it would be under warranty, and had it towed to his shop,he had the truck a week and ahalf , he said he would work with me on it.,i got the truck on a friday night, it wouldnt go over 30 mph, he said i had to shift it in to low til it got up speed, then shift it to drive. ( its an auto not a stick) he said he changed the toque converter,he said it was $350.00, i had a check, but he wanted most in cash, $250 cash and $100 in a check, that was friday night late,i drove it only 12.3 miles ,saturday night , it broke down again. i had it towed back, and i called him, he said he would get to it, one week later,still did not work on it. he said he didnt know when it would be done. i feel is should have been under warranty, but he said it was not.and i towed the truck somewhere they knew what they were doing, i wont go back and would not send anyone there now.
