Shop was recommended by, come to find out his friends, and said free estimates on repairs. Not so. Jeff spend 5 minutes on my car to check it out and charged $40.00 for labor. He removed and fixed nothing, just looked it over, checked few wires and bulbs (tail lights in trunk), which I had mentioned had been replaced already. The "free estimate" is only for his friends its seems not for middle aged ladies he can take advantage of. He said the part I needed he took $10 off of the original price on the estimate (to help me out) but after getting an estimate from 2 other places (free, as their policies had said) he was actually over $10 more on the price of the same part needed, which would have been ordered from the same company! On a $130 job (price comes from the other 2 estimates I received in same town on same day for same exact work) his estimate was $198, which he said he would subtract the $40.00 I had already had to pay for the "free estimate" if I brought the car in within 2 weeks otherwise I lose the benefit of the "free estimate" and would have to pay the $198.00 along with the $40.00 paid already for under 5 minutes of his looking over car. Either way it would cost either the $40.00 I had to pay on the spot for the 5 minutes he granted me plus $158.00 if I could come in within 2 weeks (which equals $198.00 so no free estimate as his policy says) or $238.00 if I could not come up with the rest of the $198.00 within 2 weeks, which I told him I couldn't as my disability check comes in in 2 and 1/2 weeks. He would not extend the 2 week limit to that time. He made a free $40.00 for doing nothing but taking advantage of an older disabled lady. The hourly rate above I had to fill out he had on his estimate but the other 2 shops said it would take just a bit under an hour so I don't really know what he charges per hour on labor and doubt he would tell the truth about it anyway. He was probably ripping me off on that also. Please do not go here unless you have money to throw away, the other 2 shops are reputable shops. This shop was close to home so I stopped in, plus had heard from customers, which were actually his friends that were visiting while I stopped in, about the "free estimate policy" he has.
