Repair/Service: Trany replaced.
Hourly Rate: $0
Total Cost: $1500
We have been dealing with Gentry for about 4 months. They did not ship the trany on time nor did they give us the correct shipping numbers. It took about a month and a half to receive the trany.. and now we have been trying to get in picked up for about 3 months and they have told me multiples times they have it taken care of. I have called them every week for those 3 months and now they say its pass 30 days there is nothing they can do. They will not give us our money back for shipping nor core charge!!! please be careful and take my advice go somewhere else you do not want to deal with this.

Hourly Rate: $0

these guys are cheap and you know what happens when you go cheap.
10 months in and the transmission seal leaked. asked them on how to proceed with warranty and they told me to have someone look at it. i ask them to refer a reliable shop around my area to look at it ATRA member. The shop owner told me it appears to just be leaking fluid from the seals and that they need to take it apart to further investigate. i told the shop owner to consult with Gentry on how to proceed with warranty. I agreed with the shop owner that i am only willing to pay for the dropping out and putting back in. Shop owner informed me later the Gentry was agreeing to pay for the BENCH TIME since it was a defect in their refurbishing process. Gentry's tech put the oil dowel on the wrong side. In the end i ended paying everything out of pocket because they no longer honor it once the work was done. AND THEY STILL OWE ME FOR A PREPAID SHIPPING CHARGE OF $150

Repair/Service: Transmission
Hourly Rate: $0
Total Cost: $800.00
Pre-paid for a transmission, lucky that family could pick it up and delivery it to me, plus return the core. Once Gentry's had my money, I could NO LONGER get in touch with them!! Tried by phone, fax, email and voice mail. The land-line (602) 242-1297 message says "Closed for inventory, Think that was in October!! " Not to sure how Jtouch in November is talking to anyone there, Wished I could! They HAVE NOT REFUNDED THE CORE CHARGE OF $150.00. It's sad that the list goes on and on, of good folks they are ripping off! Make for real happy holiday!!
