Terrible auto repair shop... They are a ripoff! DO NOT take your car to European Autohaus in Lutz, Florida. Exact address: 1105 E Bearss Ave., Lutz, FL. 33549. They assured me they would repair the transmission in my 2006 VW Rabbit. I agreed to the repair with a 6 month warranty. They replaced the torque converter, clutch, seals, & gaskets. They also refurbished the valve body. I had to take the car back to them 4 times under that warranty after the initial repair, each time the car still having the same problem. The last time I had the car there they tell me the valve body needs to be replaced (conveniently, now that VW has recalled it) and they quote me $988.00 to replace and install, (conveniently), again when almost out of their warranty and VW has a recall on them. This place sucks... I have reported them to 8 on your side and the Better Business Bureau. I am also leaving bad reviews everywhere I can. They took my $2,800.00 and did not repair my car.
If they new what they were doing in the first place they would have told me from the get-go that it was the valve body that needed to be replaced and that would have been the end of it, now they are trying to get me for $988.00 more dollars. and have left me with an un-repaired car.
