I have had my vehicles into their shop on several occasions. I believe they are competitive in price and competent in their repairs. I schedule my repairs so I haven't had to wait for their top mechanic to appear. I bring it in when he is there. I think Ed's Garage has been as good as any place I have taken my cars and their prices have been better than most.
My 2006 Hyundai Sonata broke down on I-45 in Garrett. I called Ed's Garage in Ennis and they immediately sent a tow truck and towed it to their shop. They said that my car had an oil leak from the valve cover gasket and it was leaking onto the alternator and made the alternator go bad. They also told me that the repairs were to difficult for them to make and I would have to take it somewhere else. When I told them that I was not happy having to pay $75.00 to have it towed to their shop and that they could not even fix it they said that was just too bad. They said the guy that could fix it was out sick and so I was just out of luck and they did not understand what I was upset about. The old lady behind the counter asked me if I knew what it was like to have to pay for insurance and pay employees and I said yes, that I actually I own my own business, and Ed the owner actually said I was a liar that I obviously don't own my own business! Needless to say I won't be back to that establishment.
