Repair/Service: Oil Change`
Hourly Rate: $49.99
Total Cost: $49.99
I got a oil change done here. I drove my truck for under 1500 miles and it started running real rough. Come to find out it barely had any oil it! There were still over 2500 miles to go until the sticker they put in my window said change oil again. i went back there to tell them what happened and of course they refused to take responsibility for it and told me I should have checked it after they did it! I thought we could trust these so called professional places to do it right, I mean that is why we pay them, right? The manager continued to come up with excuses as to where the oil went, and insisted they never make any mistakes what so ever! the mechanic there inspected my truck and to their surprise found NO oil leaks, than his next excuse was my engine burned the oil, well he was wrong again, my engine doesn't burn any oil at all. I told the manger they were responsible and I need a whole new engine and I expect Econo Lube to pay for it! He said he doubts they will do anything, but he will call me Monday and let em know! This is bad, bad, bad, and is costing an extreme amount of problems all the way around. Its not like a lot of time passed or anything, I mean I wasn't even due for another oil change for over 2500 miles, so hopefully they resolve this quickly! i know people make mistakes but as of now I would not recommend anybody to take their cars or trucks there for any kind of auto care at all. I will keep this updated with further actions.

Repair/Service: air conditioning repair and electric motor replacement
Hourly Rate: $90
Total Cost: $300.00
I brought my 1997 Cherokee in as the A/C wasn't cooling as well as it used to. They found and repaired the leak, evacuated and recharged the system to factory specifications. While charging it, the mechanic noted that the electric fan on my radiator was running too slowly -- tapped it and it started running up to speed. This would explain why the engine had been intermittently running warm when sitting at a red light, etc.
Both repairs were done in a little over an hour and not only is the air conditioning running like it was new, but the engine is running as cool at the 108º it was yesterday as it runs when it is 70º out. I highly recommend the shop. I have been taking my Cherokee there for probably two years now and have been nothing but satisfied with them.
