Repair/Service: Replace headlamp switch

Occasional smoke was coming from my steering wheel column. I took it to Dan's auto and they determined that it was a bad headlamp switch. They charged me $135 to diagnose the problem and $117 to replace the switch. The part was $38.87 with shop supplies at $12.68.

Dan's Auto does a quality job. I have found them to be reliable and good people to work with. However, sometimes it seems to take a longer amount of time and cost more money to find problems than it should. Yet, they are a worthy business and I have used them several times.
