After waking up one unfortunate morning to find my street parked car sideswiped on the drivers side (and of course no one left a note!), I contacted my insurance to make a claim. Crawford Auto was one of the shops near me that my insurance mentioned and so I went into have an estimate. The front office was bright and clean, the staff very friendly and knowledgeable, and they had a rental car office in the same building. Very convenient! After parts were ordered and received, the shop contacted me and I dropped my vehicle off the following week. The repairs took slightly longer than we first thought because of additional damage that was found after the repairs started, but Crawford kept me very informed throughout the whole process. My repaired car looks great (probably better than before it was hit!) and Crawford’s lifetime warranty makes me feel confident that it was done right. I hope that you don’t get into an accident, but if you do and you need a great shop, Crawford Auto gets my vote.
I brought my Audi tt in to have the passenger side repaired after an accident. When I got my car back the blinkers on the passenger's side were not working. Then a few minutes later none were. I was told to bring it back in so they could fix it. The next day I lost 1st and 2nd gear in my car while driving. They said they would tow the car in and that they would figure it out. All this in less than 1 hour of drive time from when I picked up my car. Then I get a call from them saying they spent "HOURS" looking and couldn't find the problem. I came and got the car. Before I left I realize that the passenger's door wouldn't open or unlock. Peter told me to take the car to my mechanic and when he figures out the missing gears issue to bring it back so they can fix door. I took my car home opened the hood and within 2 seconds found the problem. They had left a metal valve from an air tool under my hood and it was wedged in my shifter linkage as well as a plastic panel snap in my strut well. I called Peter and he admitted they used those tools and said he would have the car towed in...to please include the valve so he could "confront the technician." Now Peter is telling me that "Oscar said" they are claiming they are not liable so I am taking them to court. I had a tow truck driver go over today to pick up my car and they turned him away and said that there was a balance on the car... WHAT?! My insurance paid them in full weeks ago! Are they really trying to charge me for the tows?! So tomorrow morning when they open, myself, a tow truck, and a police officer are going to be waiting with my title, receipts, and signed witness affidavits. Good luck guys.
