I paid to have my air conditioning checked and was told by matt that my a/c compressor was no good and that it could not be recharged. I was given an estimate of $1200 to replace my compressor with labor. I am a student at Palm Beach State College. I spoke with my dad & he told me to have it looked at by another shop. This other shop recharged my compressor & informed me that I would eventually need a compressor but to use it until the compressor no longer worked. I would never go back to County Auto for any kind of repair, the owner Matt is a lying scumbag & will rip off anybody he thinks he can. I strongly recommend that anybody associated with PBSC or in the nearby lake worth area not use this shop for any auto repairs! I am a 20 year old female student, I guess that is why Matt thought he could rip me off!!
Matt, who ownes the shop sold me a 1988 Astro Chev Van, he said it had a new engine with only 4000 miles on it and a lot of other new parts including a brand new battery. After only 5 days the van wouldn't start so I took it to Napa to test the battery. The battery was no good. I called Matt to ask him to replace the battery with a new one, but he refused to do so. I told him that the AAA tech man who looked at the battery said it had a date on it of April, 2009. When I told Matt that he hung up his phone on me. This should be a warning to anyone thinking about using this shop, stay clear of County Auto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
