  • Repair/Service: transmission service

    Hourly Rate: $89.

    Total Cost: $225.00

I had my transmission serviced and they over filled it by about 5 inches on the stick above the fill line. I don't know how much that is but a tech with another service company said he is surprised it didn't cause damage to my truck.
I took my truck back to Cliett Auto service and was told that it was done months ago and he wasn't going to fix it. I told him that I don't check the transmission everyday I would think that you did it right the first time. I asked him if he would take care of it and he said no. I asked him if he had certified mechanics and he said well, some are in some things. I asked him again about certified and how someone could not charge fluids correctly? I don't think it's right to advertise that you have certified people when they are not. He became very very angry cuss me and told me he knew where I lived. He was threatening.
I wouldn't recommended this shop to anyone. If they can't do a fluid change correctly then they probably can't do more technical work either. If I could I would give them a -5 rating.

  • Repair/Service: I am the Business Owner.

    Hourly Rate: $85.00

    Total Cost: $99.25

I am responding to Brian Bradford (ozarkalien) above statements concerning Transmission Service. I taught Automotive Mechanics for ten years in Georgia Public Schools. I have a Master of Education Degree from Georgia Southern University am Certified by the State of Georgia Department of Education to Teach Automotive Mechanics. In addition to this I am ASE Certified Mechanic with 35 years of Experience. All of the Technicians who work in my Shop are Highly Certified.
Mr. Bradford has a problem with facts. He came back to our shop from his Friend's Quick Lube Business after getting his Vehicle Serviced there. He stated that we had Overfilled his Transmission by as much as 5 inches above the fill mark. It would have been impossable for him to have kept and driven this Vehicle for the three (3) months with it that far Overfilled. First, we have a System, we use Alldata to get the correct Type and the correct Capacity of any Transmission that we Service. Secondly, and Most Importantly, this Vehicle has a Vent Tube on top of the Transmission Housing. If we had Overfilled his Transmission Five (5) inches abover the fill mark there would be Transmission Fluid all over the Underside of his Vehicle the Heat from the Exhaust System would make it look like the Space Shuttle Taking Off going down the Highway.
Our Reputation is Important to our Other Customers, our Future Customers as well as to our Family and Ourselves.

  • Repair/Service: Tried to Purchase Packing Material

    Hourly Rate: $0.00

    Total Cost: $0.00

Incredibly horrible service! Cliett rents u-hauls and sells associated packing material so I went there to pick up mattress bags. I waited well over a half hour before getting anyone's assistance. Finally, when I did get someone's attention, I attempted to buy the bags (not the sealable type). The employee stated that the cost would be $27 and change. I explained that the price listed on the Cliett u-haul page for this item (part number MBM) was $3.49. Employee explained that his computer was not working so I offered to look it up on my phone. The employee then wandered off to help someone else. After another 25 minutes, I left.

The whole ordeal took almost an hour. Absolutely horrible service. I will never go back.
