I do not recommend Brakes Inc. They have a way of appearing to be honest while damaging your car. Both of the cars I took to this shop had little to no problems before and after once visit I wound up there bi weekly because of either previous work suddenly appearing as though it had never happened or because something new broke. It's a long story but this shop wronged me three times in a row this past winter. First after inspecting my vehicle they told me the starter was going. I asked if I could leave it there because I had a ride that night and could get one the following day, but the owner told me the car was fine to drive for a week or so and to come back. The car died the following night and I wound up paying for a tow.
I was told by a friend my air box had mysteriously cracked. When I asked Brakes Inc about it they told me it was a coil that dry rotted and needed to be pushed down. When I asked again at a later date the SAME MECHANIC told me the airbox was cracked. I still have yet to get this fixed.
The biggest way they upset me was not preventing my fuse box from melting but possibly causing it to melt. I have no idea how a mechanic could possibly not notice that the headlight problem I was having was because the wrong fuse was installed. So much so that they kept tempt fixing the headlight without telling me why it was happening until it was beyond help and I had to replace the fuse box. At this point I stopped using them. Since my car has had less problems. In fact, it has only had one problem. The headlamp switch broke due to wires frying no doubt because of the wrong fuse in the fuse box.
I do not know how these guys sleep at night. Collectively I lost over $1000 in repairs from both the work I had at their shop and the repairs I have had since fixing the problems they caused. Do not use Brakes Inc. Save yourself the frustration and go to someone with good reviews even if they cost a little more. It will be easier on you wallet and you stress in the long run.
