  • Repair/Service: transmission repair

    Hourly Rate: $80

    Total Cost: $1200

I took my Chevy Camaro into Bowtie Automotive for a transmission repair. However, after "fixing" it, the problem returned. I then took it to another mechanic who showed me what a shoddy job Bowtie Automotive did. I should've checked out the Better Business Bureau first. I would NOT recommend ever taking ANY vehicle to this establishment.

  • Repair/Service: Service G35 car

    Hourly Rate: $80

    Total Cost: $120

I went to Bowtie on a referral to get my 35 year Corvette worked on. Everyone wanted to charge me a ton of money for a tune up and brake job just because it was an "Ole Corvette".

This guys knows his stuff! He had the car running the best it has ever run in years. And he was easy on the Wallet. In fact, I started taking my wifes Newer Infiniti to him for service because dealer was nickel'n and diming me on everything.

I just recently got some new tires for my Truck and he had way better pricing than local Goodyear store!

I have been sending friends and family there for a NO B.S. Assessment on what your car needs and doesn't need for over 5 years!

In this economy you need to keep your old and new cars RUNNING Well...This is the Guy.

    Thanks Dale!

  • Repair/Service: oil change

    Hourly Rate: $80

    Total Cost: $600

Hi. I took my Ford F150 to Bowtie Auto. just wanted a simple oil change. First, they stripped the oil plug and I had to come back in and argue with the owner to replace it for free. Second, I don't believe they even checked what the proper amount of oil is for my truck, and they way overfilled it. I took it to a dealer, and said "my brother changed my oil for me, did he put in the right amount?", and after checking the mechanic showed me how dangerously overfull it was. How Bowtie is not being shut down by the state of Florida is beyond me. Incompetent.

  • Repair/Service: electric window repair on Cadillac

    Hourly Rate: $80

    Total Cost: $300

I am a Cadillac owner, brought my car to Bowtie because my electric window on passenger side stopped working. They "fixed it. A week later, it stopped working again, and since I had a different mechanic near my workplace, I dropped it off there to be checked out. He asked me to come over prior to them correcting the problem, then showed me that Bowtie had put used motor parts in to fix my window, and didn't even make the electrical corrections properly, much of it was done with wrapping electrical tape around the ends of the wires. I think my 14 year old son would've done a better job fixing it than Bowtie did. Will skip this place from now on. If Bowtie will allow you to see my invoice, please look at it to verify my ordeal, my invoice number is #6059-11.

  • Repair/Service: needed new radiator

    Hourly Rate: $80

    Total Cost: $800

Had a problem with my Nissan's radiator, could tell it was leaking. Took my car to Bowtie Auto. Radiator was installed quickly. Now, here's where the problems started. (1) it was the wrong size radiator. they installed some sort of metal pieces to try to make it fit (2) this caused the radiator to vibrate and move while I was driving.
I didn't notice all of this until the following day. Showed it to a friend of mind whose reaction was "holy crap, a professional mechanic did this??"
I argued with the owner trying to get this fixed, but he would do nothing.
Wow, can't believe he is even allowed to own an auto repair business.
