Repair/Service: Fuel Pressure Regulator

My car was towed to Bob’s Auto and had the fuel regulator replaced. After that the mechanic, Larry, told me the spark plugs and ignition coils needed replaced, for $700. I balked at that price, and requested my car back. I was told the car was not running, so it was towed to my house. (This is funny, because before I declined the repair, I was told the car ran rough.)

I found one reason why the car did not run: All of the spark plug wires were disconnected and unlabeled, and one spark plug was completely missing. When Larry was asked about this, he became very hostile, blaming all the cars problems on me, and telling me to “fix it myself.” Excuse me, but I did not pay $335 to have the car returned in such a half-ass condition.

A mobile mechanic later finished the repairs, but the car still barely runs. I fear that Larry applied his half-ass style elsewhere on the car.

In short, Bob's tow truck drivers are friendly; just don’t let them tow your car anywhere near their shop.

Repair/Service: Brake Service

I was feeling some vibrating in my brakes whenever I pushed on the peddle. I'm from California and I didn't want to have to drive back without getting them looked at. My mom had just recently had some radiator work done on her car at Bob's Auto and Towing so she recommended that I go through them. I took her advice and was surprised at how lovely the service was. I guess I'm writing a review because I was not used to an auto shop being so friendly and helpful. I got my car back and my brakes work great!

Repair/Service: Oil Pump Replacement

Total Cost: $280

Well, can't say that I was too excited when I found out my oil-pump had gone out... I had my truck towed into Bob's Auto and Towing to see what they can do. As always, they got me fixed right up and gave me a discount for having AAA. I never go anywhere else to have my vehicles worked on. Overall, a great company.
