Repair/Service: engine problems

Hourly Rate: $60

Total Cost: $250

We brought our SUV to Bean Brake to get a 2nd opinion, after another shop told us our engine was fried and wanted to charge us $4000 to put a brand new engine in a 15 year old vehicle. We were just wanting to compare costs on getting the engine installed. But the guys at Bean looked it over and figured out right away that it was just the water pump. They could have just quoted us a new engine and we'd be none the wiser, but they ended up saving us thousands of dollars. I'm so glad we checked them out, and what a relief to find an honest auto shop!
