Repair/Service: Made a mistake...
Hourly Rate: $80
Total Cost: $800
This place also goes by "DC automotive" and "DC Enterprises LLC" and they will experiment with your car until you are broke and frustrated.
My roadside assistance service used them for the towing when my car wouldn't start and I made the mistake of using them to try and fix the car as well. They said at 11am that they could have the car fixed and on my way that same day, that it was a fuel pump and would call me with an estimate soon. Hours later I called after hearing nothing and Sean (owner I guess) said now that he was looking at the spark plug wires and distributor cap as well and would call me back in 10 minutes. Nothing after 45 mintes so I called again, and he says that the parts are just arriving and I could head back out to pick it up in 45 minutes. at 5pm I arrive in Malden center and call for them to come pick me up and he says now that there is another problem, now its the "electronic control module" that is bad and he will call me back. After waiting at the train station another 30 minutes his "mechanic" Billy calls and tries to explain the nonsensical situation and tells me that it won't be done today and that he will know by 9:30 the next morning what the problem is for sure and will call me with another estimate(never gave me one to begin with) So the next morning I've heard nothing by 1045 so I call Billy, hes sleeping and says I need to call the shop, so I do and talk to Sean again. He mentions the ECM again and says the part should be there in half an hour and will call me if it works. It is now pushing Noon and I'm sitting hear as my credit card melts away and having no idea what the hell is going on. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.by saabowner on April 24, 2012
