Repair/Service: GOT RIPPED OFF

**AVOID AT ALL COSTS**. Had my car "repaired" at Allens at a cost of almost $747.01 but had to bring it back few days later and he brought it here to get a smoke test and inspection done, but neither were done. Originally brought my car to Allen coz my engine light came on and he changed out some parts. A few days later the engine light came back on and I brought it to him again but he even wanted more money for the repairs, which should have been done first time but I didn't give these crooks another dime. My car was there for days and wasn't even worked on while it was there. My calls to the alleged mechanic & owner Allen were never returned. Always had to call to get updates. The car was brought to this Sunoco gas station on Bridge Street, Dedham. I had to come here to pick my car up after dropping it at Allens. If you want the service I received and want your wallet to get raped then this is the place to go. My car was never repaired properly and the check engine light is back on again. Great job to all.

The owner Jack has been there for over 20 years and hes very kind and knows his stuff. I have my vehicle serviced for brakes, exhaust, check engine light, tires etc. I even had the VSC on and the ABS light on my Toyota one time. They diagnosed the problem and then called me up kindly and explaining to me its the yaw rate sensor testing low voltage. This sensor malfunctioned due to me hitting my wheel on the curb hard causing these lights to come on. Within a day he had the problem fixed and the lights never came back on! Ames Street Auto is the only place I will have my vehicle serviced even if its a tire repair or inspection sticker! They have a great staff and are AAA approved and have ASE certified tech.
