My truck passed the smog tests and failed overall(!) due to not having enough data in the computer. I had replaced the battery and the computer's data was wiped out. The inspector told me to drive it about 100 miles and come back since it passed the smog, you wouldn't have any problems. I came back later and he charged me another full price for completing the smog.

I am not sure if this is everyone's policy these days but I was shocked that there is no free re-test. Paying two full prices for a smog is just plain too much. Would not use the people who hide their fees again. He got another $55 dollars out of me, but lost many in the process.
