Is there a way to manually get the window open? I haven't been able to get it open. If I can get it open, I could potentially replace it, but I can't even access it. Thanks!

I have done this job twice in the last two years. Climb into the back of the truck and partially remove the plastic trim panel by pulling on it to have it release some from the end of the tailgate. I do not remember having to remove any screws. The idea here is to get the plastic trim panel to move away from the tailgate enough for you to use a screwdriver or other suitable tool to manually move the mechanism to release the window so you can then open the tailgate, remove the tailgate trim panel all the way and then remove the metal cover to access the window release mechanism that broke. If you have some ingenuity, you can actually repair the thing that broke off without buying a new assembly. This is the part you need >> http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/.../AC15139675.html
