why wont my fuel pump start when i turn the key

i changed the fuel pump and the fuel filter. i tried sending power to the fuel pump straight from the battery but it still will not turn on. i check all the wiring and they all have continuity.

  check power and ground at the fuel pump. I think is pk/bk power and bk for ground..

  Follow Mr felplay to the letter. Could be a bad fuel pump. See this Fig. Fig. 15: 1993 Ranger 2.3L engine wiring

  Note: check the inertia switch ( won't hurt ).
